I first would like to apologize for my ranting the last time I was on here, Gordon Campell has done a great injustice to people on the street's and around, and there is nothing anyone of us can really do. I'm writing this to get people's attention on the fact there is homelessness in Kelowna, and that it can't be ignored, but as Gordon see's it you can ignore the homeless, only for awhile, they feel traped and want out and off the streets, some do and other's can't, and that is the welfare rates, and cuts dear Gordon made to the system wide changes, he makes me sick I tell you, and after the severe weather that came though here a while back and the lot of snow, it makes me wonder just how can anybody servive this kind of weather? I feel for the homeless and this blog is dedicated to all street people in kelowna, and around the world, I know what your going through, it is a rough time out there right now, and it looks like it won't get much better anytime soon, but we are starting to get somewhat warmer weather, and there are churches that provide space for cots to sleep on for the night. But being homeless is not a grand time, not to the older one's that have been on the streets for ten year's or more, but now our children are taking to the street's, living without rules, freedom at last, but at such a cost to them, we are supposed to protect our children, keep them from harm, but they make the choice because Mom & Dad don't give a damn, and there are no rule's to follow, but on the street's there are rules to follow, some kind of ethnic code to follow. I'm not too sure where I'm going with this but I will continue to write about the homeless, they need a voice. My christian Name Is Timothy Shawn Groom, and I am that voice !

Thank god the cold snap is over! It was something wicked I tell you, and was nothing to laugh about. We, People that do have a home, are very lucky for we have heat, and do not suffer, but this cold snap was extremely hard on the homeless here in kelowna, and as it was all over bc. We take for grated that we have our comfy home's and that we don't have to suffer, but the homless all over the world suffer, here in bc, and around, we must decide to take our little bit of comfort and share with the homeless, for they have nothing, and if you do help out a homless man or woman that is good, but don't get high on the fact you helped, but that you could lend a helping hand and that if the circumstances were different, would you want someone to help you? And to help an homeless person, you should not brag, for your gift of giving comes from the heart, not to seek your own glory, and say to everyone``I've helped a homeless person'', This not something to brag about I tell you, you just give what you want to give, and they in turn will be thankful for you. And they will see you again, and they will thank you once more. I care about the homeless, and would like nothing more than to be rid of homelessness all together and that would be such a day, but the goverment's don't give a damn about homeless(EXCEPT THE MAYOR OF VICTORIA AND TO ALL WHO HAVE HELPED DURING THE COLD SNAP), Some people just want the homeless to disappear, and that is crap to me, the homeless are people, some who made the choice, some who did not have a choice, and other's that circumstances terrible. I walk downtown kelowna sometimes and I see many people that are staying at the Kelowna Gospel Mission, they stand around and wait for a warm bed, and a hot meal, and they are thankful for that bed and meal, because they do not know when the will eat again. The Homeless are real people, and some of them want off the street's and start again, but again Our cheerful Gordon Campbell has made a choice to ignore the homeless, and to that fact, the man has now targeted Single mother's, it makes me just sick to what the BC goverment is doing, giving to the rich on the back's of the poor,I'm very angry right now, but I'll use my voice to tell you all that are reading this it is time to take a stand, for the poor, and the homeless, and the single mother's that can't afford feeding their children. And I might add the new Welfare Law, it is outragous, Since these cut's have come down, I Bet the rate of people living on the streets has sky rocketed. My Name Is Tim Groom, and I want to thank you all how come here and read what I'm saying, I thank you from the bootem of my heart.
(AND A BIG THANK'S TO POVNET FOR TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT ME, i'M FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT)

It is Tim Again, I must stree the fact that for some people hbeing homeless is not their direct problem, it is rather a circumstance of their life, or they might have a problem's of different Kinds, which remind's me of myself, I have lived on the street's for eight year's, my fisrt four(4) year's spent on the street's of Edmonton, Alberta, the winter's were very cold, and I could not find shelter for the night, and it was my choice, I really did not want to help at this time, I thought I could survive, which I did by getting thrown in Jail for a few night's. then, after four(4) stint in Alberta, I moved to Kelowna, British Columbia, where I have stayed with other people, in and out of shelter's, and sometime's I would leave Kelowna and travel to other city's in the Province Of British Columbia, Revelstoke, Kamloops, sometimes back in Alberta, Calgary, And then back to Edmonton, and would stay with some street people, wom I should add some accomodation's, either a rundown room on the shady side of town, or some other rundown apartment block on the dragstrip, but I always came back to Kelowna for it was much warmer, and could stay with new-found friend's, mostly in the Kelowna Gospel Mission, but there is there is no one there that remember's me any more, for I'm Much older now, but the Memories are still fresh, Like a Special day that won't soon be forgotten, Life on the street's is not fun, it is not right, People on the street need our help, and The Mayor of Kelowna Need's a wake up call, and so does Gordon Campbell, the Criminal, whom I should say, Need's a wake-up call as well, to make room for low-income housing, better medical treatment for the homeless, the homeless are people too, they bleed, they cry, they have feeling's, and they derserve our respect, and our help.

My Name is Tim Groom, I live in Kelowna British Columbia. I'm really concerned about homlessness in my City, No, I'm not ashamed, but it really bother's me to see the poor and young Children on the street's, this is not the way it should be I tell you, each Person is I feel entitled to have a place to call home, and it would please me more if Our Mayor would see this problem for what is it is,again, I'm not ashamed for I too Spent many cold night's on the street's when I was younger. I feel that Homelessness should be eradicated, not a tempory fix, but a permanant solution should come to pass, Like Low-income housing, more shelter's, better sloution's to help people get oof the street's. I look at other people, and I see how they react to the people on the street's, and it makes me sick to my stomach, for the people that have everything want nothing more than the people of the street to just vanish, but that won't happen until a more proper solution to homelessness is resolved, and I DON'T mean get rid of them either, I mean let's lend a hand, and help out when we can.
